Detailed Description:

This is a full-time, temporary, benefit-based position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2025.

Under direction of the Marketing Manager, the International Program and Recruitment Coordinator is assigned to work on international efforts for the Division of Professional and Continuing Education to: positively impact the fiscal performance of the programs and the quality of Professional and Continuing Education relationships with internal and external constituents who are collaborative partners; manage agents and collaboration agreement with businesses and institutions of higher education, and is responsible for creating brand promise and attributes that are unique and important to the target audience for each program or degree presented to the marketplace, developing compelling messaging campaigns, and stewarding the campaign process with all stake holders. The International Program and Recruitment Coordinator will play a pivotal role in facilitating the management of university partnerships programs and the recruitment of international students, contributing to the diversity and global engagement initiatives of our institution. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex international recruitment processes. Generates effective unique positioning for assigned existing programs and those targeted for launch; and conceives, plans, coordinates, and implements a comprehensive and multi-channeled marketing and communications program with the goal of increasing student enrollments and revenue in a self-supporting environment and positively shaping University of San Diego’s identity, profile and visibility within the global community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

International Recruitment - Collaborate with the admissions team and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective international recruitment strategies aligned with institutional goals and objectives:

  • Coordinate the International Recruitment calendar and participate in student recruitment events, including informational sessions, college fairs, trade shows, and corporate/business education fairs to generate leads.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing department in advertising activities to generate leads and applications.
  • Conduct regular and timely follow-up activities for lead inquiries.
  • Respond to new student inquiries promptly and professionally by phone, email, or in person.
  • Maintain knowledge of effective international student recruitment strategies, University academic programs, admissions policies, and procedures, including student policies related to Students' Rights and Responsibilities and FERPA.
  • Deliver professional and effective presentations to small and large groups with the primary purpose of recruiting new students and the secondary aim of increasing positive awareness of the university.
  • Utilizes CRM and student data systems to track, manage, and process leads, prospects, and applicants.
  • Collaborate with International Student Services staff to effectively transition students.
  • Carefully assesses all prospective students to ensure they have the academic potential, traits, characteristics, and financial ability to remain enrolled until graduation.
  • Maintains full knowledge of City University's curricula so that program recommendations can be made to potential students that align with each student's needs and aspirations.
  • Stay knowledgeable on US immigration regulations related to F-1 visas and other non-immigrant visa categories.

Relationship Management - Cultivate and maintain relationships with educational consultants, international schools, embassies, and other relevant organizations to enhance recruitment efforts and expand the institution’s global network:

  • Coordinate memorandums of understanding between USD and partner universities abroad.
  • Plan and coordinate details for agency support, collateral needs and support of agents as needed.
  • Build relationships with potential university partners, agents and businesses abroad that can support USD’s mission. Coordinate meetings with current and potential partners to further USD business.
  • Assist in identifying and selecting international program and recruitment agents and organizations. Build and maintain contact.
  • Document agent conversation rates and recommends extension or termination of agreements accordingly.
  • Assist in the implementation of the strategic program and recruitment plans.
  • Serve as primary contact for university representatives and agents' concerns and coordinate with various departments on resolving issues.
  • Maintain relationships with institutions of higher education and businesses.
  • Support leadership in coordinating new relationships and agreements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Common problems are anticipated and solved by the employee.
  • Stay informed of continuing developments in the industry and applies best practices on behalf of Professional and Continuing Education.
  • Continually improve lead and student volume and ROI for dollars invested on each program.
  • Implement marketing campaigns, testing new initiatives, and yield managing the marketing investment to achieve program specific goals in alignment with the investment strategy established for each program.
  • Share key findings and developments for the benefit of other stakeholders and roll global enhancements across all program sites and campaigns.
  • Track departmental costs to meet or spend less than budget.

Other duties as assigned.

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in order to meet project deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with all required technologies and tools.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, education, business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred in international relations, education, business, or a related field.
  • Prefer previous experience in international recruitment or admissions within higher education.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of international education systems, admissions requirements, and visa regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  • Excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of writing, grammar, syntax, style, and punctuation.
  • Excellent knowledge of appropriate editorial style and publication guidelines.
  • Excellent skills to write clear, lively, engaging and compelling copy in a variety of styles appropriate to target audiences and/or the broader public, while ensuring adherence to the campus message.
  • Excellent research and fact verification skills to conduct needs assessment, competitive analysis, and ability to promote.
  • Thorough attention to detail and organizational skills.

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position.  Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
